ELVIS MITCHELL
Former New York Times movie critic Elvis Mitchell was recently detained at the U.S./Canadian border. Authorities confiscated $12,000 in cash from the writer. Today’s New York Post says the government wants an explanation as to why Mitchell was carrying that much cash or THEY’RE GOING TO KEEP IT.
Mitchell left the Times in 2004. The critic has also worked for PBS, NPR, Turner Classic Movies and written freelance pieces for various publications. Mitchell is also a guest professor at Harvard.
I wonder how many WHITE Harvard professors WITHOUT dreadlocks would have all their money confiscated by U.S. custom authorities.
